TESTIMONIALS

  • I had your 2012 version of the victim at my old district and liked it a lot. there were a few recommendations i had for it to improve it a little, but this year at my new district i got the brand new version of the victim and noticed all the improvements. I love it! it has the perfect ride, no shelter rub, is roomy enough for all my needed gear and actually stows easier in the new style of type 6 engine then any other brand of pack. My new crew had all been hard up for the mystery ranch packs but after just two months with the victim none of my engine folks would go back. They hands down said the victim was a far better pack. Thanks for making a great pack that is more versatile than any other on the market.

  • Finally got the pack out today. Absolutely love it. This is the Mt Ruapehu summit New Zealand and crater lake at 2700m and couple hours climb above the last lift. I’m hoping this is the first of your packs up here! Hahaha

  • Just wanted to take a few minutes to say how impressed I am with your gear. I am a collateral duty firefighter with the NPS and although I am not full time with fire, I use your gear for IA and Rx burns and it has held up with everything I have put it through. I actually just received a new GroperX today, coming from some high recommendations from a fire use module that was here assisting with prescribed fire. I am very pleased with the comfort of the harness and how it sits on my lower back and hip area. I’ve had my red card for 18 years now and this is by far the best I have used.

Along those same lines, we have Skidmark bags here in the park and they are outstanding. We have several other red-carded guys here and they love them and the durability they […]

  • One of my new ENGBs just showed up from NC with a body bag, I handed him one of your gropers, and took his true north and chucked it!  thought you would appreciate that.  Well I had talked to you last year about getting some bags, I got busy and never did. He inspired me man, I had to get one. I keep kicking down my Victims to my engine bosses,  Ive had 2 now and never had one on the line myself! Im a freek’n sucker!  I ordered a couple more tonight.  Kick down some stickers or other advertising  shag for my guys, please!  You always hook us up, thanks dude!  Hope your doing well!  Sweet to see Nar gear everywhere!
    Thanks man,

  • This past weekend I fished in the “Rip-N-Lips” tournament in Oregon. I had the pleasure of placing the top bid for your donated bag/backpack. I gave it to my son (BLM/Forest Service employee), and my best friend. Your donation was a top target at the silent auction and my multi bids at the last minute allowed me the top bid. As I came in “almost” last in the tournament, ending up with a Nargear bag was a great equalizer for my ego! Thank you for your buy-in to our cause, and your quality will put your products on top for America’s fire fighters.

  • Just wanted to tell you the bags are a hit with the Navajo Scouts!!! I took em out to the Los Conchas fire last week and the IA pack was comfortable! The body bag was awesome!! Thank you from depths of my heart! Your bags are awesome!! 😀

  • I just wanted to drop a line about my recent purchase of the Guide Pack. I’m really enjoying it’s comfort, packability and compressibility for when I’m traveling light. Pretty much an all in one pack. Your fire packs are ballistic as well. Thanks for putting out a great design and I hope that your pack line takes off, as I have been pretty disappointed in pack choices over the last several years; finding something that fit great and was big but compressible, or lack thereof. It’s also very cool to see an ex-Forest Circus grunt getting out and having great success. Doing my research of this pack, I saw a video of the owner, Randall. I remember being on a fire up outside the Flathead NF about 10 years ago that Ran had jumped on. Once you meet the guy, he kind of sticks in your […]

  • (Please forward this to Ran)  What more can I say than you flippin’ killed it with your Nargear Toolbox pack!  If you recall I was using the Black Diamond “Anarchist” for the past 4 seasons, holding out for your new/improved version.  Got it in hand several days ago, totally blown away at the storage/strapping/features/ease-of-entry, all around kick-ass components, skied one run with it, and fell in love.  Hands down a dialed pack that I can conform to my screwed up torso.  So AMPED!!!!  Looking forward to riding with you again.

    Huge thanks.Gliding on,

  • I picked up a victim pack from you guys last July and I am very impressed. The waterproof material really kept my gear nice and dry on a particularly wet detail and the pack proved to be very comfy to hike with, the way the shelter sits it doesn’t rub, the shoulder straps don’t let the pack swing all over the place and the side pouches are angled perfect for getting to your water.  I was also able to remove the top panel and thread another pouch in to that webbing and add a trauma kit to the setup as well. Probably my favorite aspect of the pack is durability. This off season I have used it on countless snowshoeing trips, hikes, and loaded it with 50 plus pounds of rope and gear and it’s still going strong. The only damage I’ve done to the pack is a tear on […]

  • My name is Jeromy Schmidt and i have been a Minnesota wildland firefighter for 16 seasons now. Ill have to admit..I was a little skeptical on ordering your gear..just for the comfort factor. Im a bigger guy 6’3 and about 270..and I havent found a pack yet that allows for the movement in the shoulder area. I have been using a standard issue FSS blue bag, and they are not built for guys my size…no room and straps dig into me. I just came back from a 21 day detail in grants pass, Oregon (big windy complex) and while I was there I was asked to bump my pack and a NARGEAR Victim pack down the line…I threw that pack on and I was hooked…I had my girlfriend order one that very same morning…Ive taken my pack on several hikes and i havent found anything on that pack that doesn’t “FIT” me….I am super impressed with it and I will […]

  • We recently ordered our 2nd round of Body Bags to fully outfit our Engine crew.  They’re holding up great in the H20 country of northern MN (Superior National Forest).  This photo comes from the one and only Timo (our new zone FMO)! Thanks

  • Just want to say thanks for the quality gear you guys are producing.  I have worn many different pack styles in my career and the Groper is the top.  It is the perfect size for an engine crew, not to bulky but with enough room to carry all the necessities and still throw on a hose pack.

  • Hi, My name is Heather Archibald. I am a squad leader on the Salyer Handcrew on the Six River National Forest, Forest Service. My crew has purchased several of your Victim firefighter packs. We love the comfort and functionality of the pack.

I have been fighting fire for almost 13 years and your packs have fit me the best so far. I am a small and short woman and your packs fit myself and the largest men on our crew. My crew appreciates the work you have put into making a great firefighting pack.

    Thank You!,

  • I actually gave testimony about the victim during a saw re-cert when I was asked by a guy that you may know, Ryan Theler, I believe the spelling is right, if my pack was Nargear. I said yes. The conversation went on and he asked how I liked the pack. I simply stated by far the most comfortable pack I have ever worn, I worked 6 yrs on the Rio Grande NF where we were issued Th*****n. I later purchased my first pack, I believe T**** N**** Spit fire. In my opinion the two rode similar on my back, until my FMO at the time told me to try a Nargear pack. Ryan went on to tell me he and his crew would make their own packs at the jump base. I now work for a municipal fire dept and was standing next to a Chief from a […]
