The History of this belt design originated from Parachute Riggers. They used the webbing from their parachute harnesses and V-ring buckles from their leg strap assemblies found in their parachute loft. Hence, why some people call it a Riggers Belt, Smokejumper Belt, or Harness Belt but in the end, it is simply a Burly Belt.
The Webbing is very stiff and dipped in resin. The break-in period is about seven days before the webbing will pass through the buckle more freely.
